India Sampati was born from my lifelong fascination with India and its fabrics.

I am Chrystelle, its creator. I grew up in the bohemian world of the seventies, surrounded by the vibrant colors and wonderful prints of these fabrics from faraway places. These memories have remained within me like treasures.

Years later, this thread of wonder led me to travel through this dream country, meeting artisans who perpetuate, with patience and grace, rare skills: block printing, hand weaving, handcrafted jewelry.

Their precise gestures, the demanding patience of their work and their sense of beauty fueled my desire to create a brand that pays tribute to them.

From their hands come the creations of India Sampati: khadi cotton blouses, block-printed dresses, hand-quilted Indian quilts, talisman-like jewelry to be worn as a promise.
