Keen to contribute to creating a better world, I decided to create India Sampatti when I learned that in India the traditional weaving sector was disappearing in favor of industrial textiles.
There are no fewer than 136 different ways of weaving in India, not to mention the methods of printing and dyeing fabric. Contributing to preserving this extraordinarily rich heritage and giving men and women the opportunity to continue working to offer the world their talents and know-how with unique, beautiful, and quality products seemed obvious to me.
Supporting crafts also means promoting ecological choices: traditional craftsmanship is also an art of living where people strive to live in harmony with the environment.
My belief is that the objects we surround ourselves with should not only be pleasant to look at, they should be intrinsically beautiful and enrich the lives of those who acquire them by contributing to creating a world that is more respectful of people and nature.
With this shop, I am committed to offering you all these treasures of a craft that resists industrialization; I choose my suppliers based on the products but also and above all based on the human and eco-responsible dimension that they demonstrate.
I'm committed to incorporating an ethical dimension into my business. For you, I seek out beautiful products whose authenticity is inextricably linked to humanity, nature, tradition, and expertise.
