Why India Sampatti?

I decided to open this shop when I learned that some aspects of Indian textile crafts were threatened with extinction! The idea is unbearable to me. India has 136 different ways of weaving, unique dyeing methods and artisans whose genius is expressed in the diversity and beauty of textile creations. In addition, the artisan is "naturally" respectful of the environment. And then of course the use of natural materials is essential: they allow our skin to breathe and promote our physical well-being.
Promoting their products is a way of paying tribute to them and contributing at my level to their employment so that these production processes that are gentle on people and the planet are perpetuated. Men with an H because there are many women who work in Indian crafts: they are recognized for their know-how and have a real place in their community. Supporting artisan communities also means empowering these women.

India Sampatti for what?

To contribute, to be proud of being able to do so through purchasing decisions: because for me purchasing power is exactly that.

India Sampatti for whom?

This boutique is aimed at conscious women who have understood that the fashion industry is one of the most threatening for the Planet and for Mankind, particularly with the rejection of synthetic particles that are found everywhere and that we ingest daily. The idea is to be able to have fun while contributing to creating a more serene world that respects Mankind and the Planet.

Where do the products come from?

The vocation of the store being linked to India, the products are made by Indian artisans, with a few rare exceptions with French artisanal products.

Who are my suppliers?

I choose my suppliers by taking care to check that they correspond to my philosophy. It can be a brand (French or Indian), a reseller, or a craftsman with whom I have had direct contact. In all cases I strive to check that the products are indeed the result of fair work for the craftsman: it is only by ensuring that the craftsman is well paid that we can contribute to maintaining this know-how. If this is not the case, the new generations will not continue this work and entire sections of this culture which is part of the heritage of Humanity will disappear.

Where are the products sent from?

All products are sent by me from Blois where I live.

Why can't I pay with Paypal?

After several incidents with Paypal, I have decided not to continue offering this payment method.
